Stress Is a Mind-Body Experience

When you have stress you experience specific negative physical, emotional and mental changes. These three are interdependent. Stress involves addictive, learned behavior based on past conditioning. As a child or in school, you learned to perform for others instead of for yourself. That made you physically tense, emotionally vulnerable, and mentally hyper-active or out of focus. When you feel stress today, you continue that same pattern. You give up your power, and become tense, anxious or angry, and your mind can’t stop talking. This makes you under-perform, makes you unhappy, angry or afraid, and can make you ill.
