Chronic Pain Relief
Alexander Technique
Do you suffer from chronic pain?
Are you a victim of headaches, back pain, neck, shoulder, hip or knee pain? Do you suffer from chronic neuromuscular or skeletal pain, arthritis, scoliosis, fibromyalgia or TMJ? Then you should know that your pain can be dramatically reduced and possibly eliminated. Ingrid Bacci healed herself from crippling chronic pain that the medical profession told her was incurable. She has spent the last thirty years helping others heal themselves.
Healing from chronic pain.
Traditional medicine generally offers only surgery or drugs to help you with pain. Drugs may help in the short term but they have toxic effects in the long term. Surgery is frequently limited in its beneficial effects, and can lead to further problems down the road. There are, however, a number of highly effective holistic healing techniques that can help you to conquer pain. Ingrid’s books, CDs, MP3s and downloads, in addition to her free email series on healing from chronic pain offer extensive guidance in these techniques. Understanding what techniques will serve you best depends on understanding the many factors that can contribute to pain.
Craniosacral therapy for chronic pain.
If you have suffered a physical trauma, craniosacral therapy may be an important tool for helping you heal. Unlike some other manual therapies (for example chiropractic) craniosacral therapy, while extremely gentle, also works very deeply to release restrictions that can be contributing to pain. Widely recognized for its utility in helping all forms of back pain, craniosacral therapy is also highly effective in treating TMJ problems, headaches, migraines, sinus problems, vision imbalances and tinnitus.
Stress relief for chronic pain.
Sometimes pain results from chronic stresses held in the body. Stress results in muscle tension that tends to become unconscious and that eventually creates pain. When pain is the result of chronic stress, stress relief techniques, including breath awareness, visualization, and the Alexander Technique, can dramatically reduce tension and pain. Chronic pain can also result from suppressed feelings and emotional conflict. Where this is the case, craniosacral therapy is an ideal tool for gently helping a person to acknowledge and release suppressed emotions, reducing physical pain. All these techniques are discussed at length in Ingrid Bacci’s book Effortless Pain Relief.
The Alexander Technique for chronic pain.
Poor postural alignment is a significant contributor to chronic pain. The Alexander Technique, specific yoga exercises and other movement therapies explored by Ingrid in her books and DVDs can play an important role in eliminating pain due to poor postural alignment. Such tools also contribute to eliminating pain that results from overuse or underuse.
Nutritional healing for chronic pain.
Nutrition plays an important role in reducing chronic pain, particularly as we get older. Nutritional healing includes dietary changes that emphasize eating organic foods, reducing acid-forming foods, eating vegetables and other foods high in trace minerals, following proper food combining rules, taking high quality supplements, and so on. Proper nutrition revitalizes the digestive tract and the liver, which in turn improves the flexibility and strength of muscles, ligaments, tendons and connective tissue.
